The Qoroq Glacier and the fiord which passes close by Narsarsuaq, is a beautiful piece of Greenland nature.
The Qoroq Glacier comes directly from the inland ice, but the ice flow is moderate, as are the pieces of ice that flow down the fiord.
Many of the icebergs are some 3 to 5 meters wide above water, making it easier to enjoy the intricacies of nature's design. The next pictures speak for themselves.
The dark stripes in the ice is "pollution" from dust storms, sediment carried by melting water and such phenomena.
The Qoroq Fiord is Southeast of Narsarsuaq Airport and the hotel. If you're waiting to catch a plane and have the time, you can go on a boatride up to Qoroq Glacier.
